How to do this Meditation
There’s no time like the present. Ready to bless yourself? This session is super quick and takes no time to learn. Once you’ve got it down, you can add it to your morning routine.
Before you get started, find a place in which you can be alone. You will need a phone, laptop, or CD player to listen to the mantra track here.
When you’re ready to begin, follow these steps and get started:
Position:
First of all, you should start in Easy Pose with a straight back. Alternatively, if you find that position uncomfortable, you can choose any seated position that works for you. Apply a light Neck Lock.
Arm position:
Bring both of your arms out to the side. Bend your elbows and bring your forearms up to a 90-degree angle. Ensure your hands are pointing up toward the sky and facing forward.
Eye focus:
Make sure your eyes are focused on the tip of your nose throughout this meditation.
Chant:
Play Nirinjan Kaur’s recording of Humee Hum Brahm Hum. Chant along with the mantra and start moving your body to the rhythm of the beat.
Whenever you hear the ‘Humee Hum’ touch the top of your head and bless yourself. When you hear the ‘Brahm Hum’ part of the mantra, return to the starting position.
Time:
Continue with this blessing meditation for between three and 11 minutes.
Finish:
Once you’re ready to bring the meditation practice to an end, breathe in and hold your breath. Straighten and tighten your spine while you stiffen your left hand.
Bring the energy from your spine to your left hand. Breathe out completely. When you’ve done that, repeat this process twice more. Relax and complete your session.
Conclusion
Blessing yourself takes no time at all. Whenever you’re in the mood to enhance your self-care and do something to bring you up, you can try this meditation. Now that you’ve got it under your belt, why not add it to your daily or weekly routine?
