How to Do This Kriya
If you want to get started with this kriya, find a quiet place in which to practice. You should create a welcoming and calming atmosphere. For example, you may wish to light some incense. Once you have done that, take a moment to prepare and follow these steps.
Step one: Long deep breath
The first step is to engage in a long deep breathing activity.
You should start by sitting in Easy Pose or whatever position feels comfortable to you. Make sure that your spine is straight throughout the entire breathing exercise.
Start by breathing in long and deep through both nostrils. As you do so, focus your energy on the natural flow of the breath. Imagine that it is a life force moving through you.
Keep going for three minutes. Breathe in deeply, suspend the breath and let go entirely.
Step two: Frog pose
Next up, you want to get into frog pose. That means getting down by bending your knees while keeping them apart. You should be on your toes with your heels touching.
Move forward and put your fingers on the floor in front of you. Your face should also be forward and you should lean over at a slight angle.
When you are in the right position, breathe in and bring the hips up. Your fingers should still be on the ground as you move and your knees need to be locked.
After that, breathe out and move down with your knees outside of your arms. Continue with this activity until you complete ten sets. On the final one, stay down and take three deep breaths. Then suspend the breath and use the mulbandh for 10-20 seconds.
During the last part of this step, you should feel the energy move along your spine. Allow yourself to completely relax as this happens and connect with the Universal Force.
Step three: Stretch pose
For the final part of this kriya, you need to stretch. Move your legs out right in front of you while seated. Bend forward and get hold of your toes using the finger lock.
Breathe in deeply while straightening the spine. Next, breathe out and bend forward so that your chest is parallel to your thighs. You don’t want to lean your head in too much.
Stay in this position for three minutes before you relax. Breathe and finish the kriya.
