Benefits of this Kriya
- Balances the three psyches
- Allows you to relax completely
- Brings a sense of inner peace
How to do this Kriya
Find a space in which you are comfortable and relax. You will need a high-quality yoga mat to support you through this particular exercise set (kriya).
Exercise one: Cow Pose Leg Extended
First up, get into Cow Pose by coming down onto your hands and knees. Bring your left leg up behind your buttocks to a 60-degree angle.
When you have done that, angle the left foot up and flex it. You should engage in Breath of Fire and follow the same rhythm and speed as your breath. Continue for 3 minutes.
Next, switch to your right leg and continue with the same breathing rhythm. Keep going for a further one and a half minutes. You should find that energy rises within your body.
Exercise two: Punching Cat Pose
When you have completed the first exercise, stay on the yoga mat and move into Cat Pose. You should put your left hand into a fist and then start punching the air in front of you. Engage in the Breath of Fire once again and follow the rhythm.
Imagine that your hands are made out of metal and that your punches are strong. Allow the full weight of your shoulder to travel through each punch. Continue for two minutes.
Switch arms and continue with the same pranayama and action. Keep going for one and a half minutes.
Exercise three: Rock Pose with Bow
Move to sit on your heels, or whichever position is comfortable for you. Lunge forward with your upper body so that your forehead touches the mat. When you do that, you should simultaneously clap your hands behind your back in a swift movement.
Return to the seated position and start the process again in a continuous movement. Engage in this activity for exactly three and a half minutes.
Exercise four: Arm and Hand Movement
Now, get into Easy Pose or any position that feels comfortable to you. When you have done so, move your arms out in front of you so that they are parallel with the floor facing downward.
Bring your thumbs across each of your hands so that they are touching the bottom of your little fingers. Next, allow your hands to move quickie up and down, bending at the wrist, for eight repetitions.
The moment that is over, you should bend your elbows and move your arms backward. Allow them to touch your rib cage while your forearms are directed upward and your palms down. Bring your arms out and repeat the eight bends movement.
Continue in this rich cycle for one minute and a half.
Exercise five: Relax
Lie on the yoga mat and relax completely. Allow all of your tension to disappear for five minutes.
The Takeaway
If you suspect that your three psyches are out of balance, it’s important that you do something. Engaging in this kriya along with other Kundalini Yoga activities is the answer.
