We are all surrounded by a beautiful sphere of energy known as our aura. When our aura is strong and nourished it acts as a protective shield, repelling negativity and illness.
However, when the aura is allowed to go unnurtured it weakens, becoming less effective at protecting us, attracting negative energy, and allowing this to penetrate into the body and mind.
Kundalini Yoga kriyas are sets of movements or actions which we use to engage and nurture our bodies. They can help to realign the chakras, strengthen the connection between the body and mind, and even improve mental health.
In this guide, we will be exploring a kriya to strengthen the aura, reinforce its protective power, and bring confidence, happiness, and optimism.

Using Kundalini Yoga to strengthen the aura has multiple benefits to both the body and the mind. Not only is it nurturing the aura, but it also builds the body’s muscle tone, and is even believed to strengthen the heart, improve fitness, and help to repel diseases.

Protection from external negativity
An increased sense of security
Builds confidence and self worth
Banished feelings of paranoia
How to do this Kriya:
This kriya works in three parts. It can take some practice to build up effective strength in the body, but it is quick, effective, and easy to master.
Stand up straight, and then bend at the hips, bringing your hands to the floor and spreading your weight evenly between your hands and feet in a triangle shape.
Raise up the right leg, straightening the knee. Bend the arms, lowering your head towards the Earth. Inhale, rise back up to straight arms so you are in the triangular pose once again.
Repeat this movement for one minute before lowering the leg and switching sides. Repeat on the other side for a further one minute. As you grow stronger, aim to repeat this movement for a total of seven and a half minutes on each leg.
Begin this section by sitting on the ground in Easy Pose, or any position that feels comfortable to you. Extend your arms out forwards, with the left palm turned inwards facing right.
Crossing the right arm beneath the left with the thumb facing down and the palm facing right, clasp the hands together, the right fingers over the left fingers.
Inhale, raising the arms to just above head height. Exhale and bring the arms back to shoulder level. Breathe in the moment, deeply and powerfully, for between two and three minutes.
Staying in Easy Pose, or a comfortable position, bring the arms in front of you level with the face, palms facing inwards around six inches apart.
Inhaling, bring the arms down and backwards so they are in line with your chest. Exhale and bring them back to their starting position.
Maintain this movement to a rhythmic beat for three minutes while breathing deeply.
This kriya works wonders for strengthening the aura, bringing positivity and vitality to the body and psyche, and warding off negativity. Give it a go, and see the difference it makes.
