Step 1: The Self-Blessing
Start by sitting in Easy Pose or whatever position feels comfortable for you.
Hands and arms:
Take your right palm and hold it above your head. It should be between six and nine inches above you. The palm should face downward as it is blessing you.
Next, the left elbow should be bent with the forearm near the rib cage. The palm should be facing outward as it is blessing the world.
