How to do This Meditation
This meditation to boost energy is straightforward and simple to grasp. Not only will it help you get moving in the morning, but the positive energy will keep you going all day.
Find a quiet space at home, or in your workplace, for this morning meditation. Ensure you’re comfortable. Choosing the right space is essential for allowing your mind to clear, and your meditation exercise to be effective.
Start this exercise by sitting on the floor with your legs crossed in front of you. This position needs to be comfortable and sustainable.
Form the Gyan Mudra with both hands by touching the tip of your forefinger to your thumb, keep the right hand at the solar plexus level, and left hand to the heart chakra level.
Allow your eyes to fall mostly closed. Around 90% closed is perfect.
Move your hands in a circular motion around each other very quickly. You want to aim for around six rotations per second.
The key to this exercise is moving quickly and energetically, creating your own electromagnetic field between your hands.
Try to keep control in your arms, without letting them spin off wildly. Maintain a straight back, and pull your breath into your stomach as you perform this exercise.
After you have been rotating your arms for 11 minutes, allow your eyes to fall completely closed. At this point, inhale deep and long, feeling the Earth’s energy fill your lungs, and lift your hands up to the sky. Reach your arms up straight, allowing no bend at the elbow.
Continue your long, energizing breaths for a minute, maintaining that stretch throughout your body and arms. After a minute, allow your arms to fall by your sides or onto your lap, and relax.
You are now ready to start your day. Be sure to have a glass of water. Hydration is essential to maintaining the energy and clear mind that this meditation creates.
