How to do this Meditation
Looking to try this prayer power meditation? Before you get started, take a moment to unwind. You may want to light some incense to set the scene, for instance.
Position:
When you’re ready to get started with this prayer meditation, find a comfortable place to sit. You should sit on the floor — or a yoga mat — and keep your back straight.
Hand position:
While you are engaging in this meditation, you should adopt the Gyan Mudra and hold your hands on your knees or lap. Your right hand needs to be resting on your left hand.
Throughout the prayer meditation, you should ensure that both of your palms face upward. If you are new to this particular mudra, you may have to practice it a couple of times first.
Eye position:
There is no specific eye position for this meditation. For that reason, you should do whatever feels natural to you. For example, should you find it relaxing to close your eyes, you can adopt that position throughout the meditation. You may also want to go for the 9/10th eye opening. Try out a few options and then do what suits you best.
Music:
You don’t need to chant a specific mantra when you are taking part in this meditation. However, if you find that a soundscape helps you meditate, you can play the Tantric Har.
As you are delving deep into the prayer meditation, the track serves as rhythmic support. Tune your vibrational force into the mantra and allow it to move through your mind.
Breathing:
The main activity in this Kundalini Yoga meditation is breathing. When you are ready to get started, breathe in deeply, breathe out and hold for as long as you can without any issues.
Next, you should breathe in deeply and breathe out immediately. While you are doing this, you have to pulse both the tip of your tongue and your navel point in time. Snap your tongue as you sharply move your navel point inward. Keep this motion precise and small.
You may choose to keep your mouth close or open throughout this. If you do choose to tune into the Tantric Har track, you should not chant along with it.
Once you have found a natural rhythm with this movement, continue with the breathing pattern that we have described above. Keep going for 11 minutes and relax completely.
The Takeaway
The above meditation is easy to follow and can be done by anyone on their Kundalini Yoga journey. No matter how long you have been practicing, you can try it for yourself and experience its power. If you want to boost your praying, try this quick meditation now.
